So for those of you who don't know, we are trying to buy a house. It should be fairly easy right now, as there are TONS of houses available. Unfortunately for us, people have not gotten the message about the state of the housing market. We submitted an offer last Friday. We received a counter offer (by email) at 2:30 today. Not only are they not coming down on the price, but they took the refrigerator out of the deal too. We asked them to pay the closing costs...they want to tack that on to the original asking price! That's right, they want more $$$ than what they had it listed for! Oh and by the way that "offer" expired today at 5pm! Seriously???? Two and a half hours for us to consider this gem of a deal? About 2 hours and 29 min too much!! Good luck with that vacant house that will remain so for a good portion of the next year!
Whew! Take a breath....much better!
Guess we just need to find someone who is ready to actually sell their house!
